Although the Gumball 3000 has come to an end, we still have a ton of 360° footage from the supercar rally. We’ve already given you episodes showing David Hasselhoff and Jordan Melville’s perspectives, but in this episode of A Gumballer’s Journey, we look back to the early leg of the rally to give viewers a fly-on-the-wall point of view.

A quick glance at the lot and attendees can see some impressive supercars getting ready to rev off for a ride of their lives. A Porsche GT3, a convoy of Alfa Romeos, a Ferrari 812 Superfast, and even a McLaren P1, these are just a handful of some of the vehicles seen on day two, preparing to take off for the 560-mile European leg of the Gumball 3000.

Driving from Chantilly, France to Milan, Italy, this episode follows some of the drivers in the race such as Jordan Melville (Ferrari 812 Superfast), Jason Appleton (Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio), James Walker (Porsche GT3 R5), and Parker Nirenstein (Porsche GT3).

A Gumballer’s Journey: London to Chantilly With First-Time Gumballer Jordan Melville (Ep. 3)

In the third episode of our series, A Gumballer’s Journey, the team talks to first-time Gumballer Jordan Melville to hear how his experience has been thus far.

Seated in his 2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast, Melville divulges on his 262-mile journey from London to Tokyo. From the flag drop departure from Covent Garden in central London to fan reception at the Château de Chantilly in France, the Vancouver local takes us on a visual exploration detailing the sprawling crowds, breathtaking open roads, beautiful architecture, and the Domaine de Chantilly, a remote Castle hosting the rally car first checkpoint.

“It’s a world event. There’s really no way to describe it except that it’s just one thing after another,” says Melville. “Once we got to France, it was magical.”

As he continues to discuss his Gumball 3000 experience, the Gumballer gives us more insight on topics like getting to France in a tunnel train and even seeing Hasselhoff in the flesh. Although the rally has a bit of racing aspect to it, he says that it’s all about the journey.

“It’s not about getting here first. It’s absolutely not about getting here first. It’s about who had the most fun.”

This episode was presented by Finger Food Studios and LNG Studios.  If you want to hear more about Melville’s experience, be sure to check out episode three above.

“Is that Hasselhoff?”

Murmurs like this could be heard in the hoos and the hums of the crowd as the acclaimed American actor David Hasselhoff waved the starting flag vigorously at 2018’s Gumball 3000.

Hasselhoff a.k.a The Hoff may be commonly known as an actor, singer, producer, businessman, and even a Guinness World Record holder (as the most watched man on T.V.), but here, he’s known for being a supercar enthusiast.

The 10-time Gumballer is fresh off his wedding and about to start his honeymoon. Even with his busy schedule, he still found time to attend the illustrious 20th anniversary of the Gumball 3000 rally.
