Chau Veggie Express is Putting a Vegan Twist on Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine

Yes, Vietnamese vegan food really does exist.

Food & Drink

With meat playing such a large role in Asian cuisine, it seems like all of the staples in Vietnamese food can only be consumed by omnivores. Fortunately, there’s finally a place for folks who are eating that plant-based lifestyle.

Chau Veggie Express is a Vietnamese vegan eatery located in Vancouver. The menu has popular and traditional dishes like pho, rice bowls, and soups – they’re just all meat-free! Using protein like tofu and tempeh, the restaurant manages to successfully create tasty alternatives for anyone that still misses the taste of meat.

Some of the items on Chau’s menu include Candle Lit Lantern Pho Soup, Nonla Crispy Rolls (spring rolls), and Namaste Fresh Rolls (salad rolls). There’s also a separate dessert menu for customers with a sweet tooth. There, you can grab items like brittle, cheesecake, ice cream, tarts, and more.

There are currently two locations available in Metro Vancouver. One location can be found in East Van, and the other is in the Granville Island Public Market. For more information on the vegan eatery, check out their social media links below.
