Clear your calendar! Former U.S. President Barack Obama is coming to Canada.
The 44th President of the United States is dropping by Vancouver for an event organized by the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
According to GVBOT President and CEO Iain Black, the board has been trying to get Obama to come to the city for roughly two years now.
“At this moment in history, President Obama is quite possibly the most coveted speaker in the world. Repeatedly, his name has topped our Member surveys as the individual that B.C. business leaders most want to hear from. For those reasons — and many more — we are ecstatic to welcome President Obama to our city on March 5,” said Chair of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Lori Mathison in a press release.
The event will take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre West at 4:30 PM on March 5th, 2019. For anyone interested in attending the event, tickets will go on sale to the members of the GVBOT on January 25th. If there are any leftover, a public pre-sale will take place on February 1 at 10:00 AM.
