Weather Warning: Snow Alert Issued for Metro Vancouver (January 2019)

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for areas in and around Metro Vancouver.

Issued at 4:49 AM Tuesday, the warning is in effect for:

  • City of Vancouver – including Burnaby and New Westminster
  • Metro Vancouver – northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge
  • Metro Vancouver – southeast including Surrey and Langley
  • Metro Vancouver – southwest including Richmond and Delta
  • North Shore – including West Vancouver and North Vancouver

These areas are expected to receive wet snow.  There may be minimal snow, however, these low levels of snow will most likely mix with rain.  Snow levels are expected to rise tonight with rain continuing until tomorrow.
